Lincode Buyer Map

Eric Malis | Lincode | October 2026

As of 19 Oct 2026

Lincode makes AI visual inspection software for quality control on the factory floor, from offices in Detroit and Sunnyvale. Your site names six industries it serves, from automotive and semiconductor to food, beverage and packaging.

This page maps the manufacturers in those six groups, roughly how many of each there are in the United States by size, and who usually signs off on inspection software inside them.

Where your buyers sit

Each group is drawn from an industry your own site lists. Counts are United States firms, banded. A firm often runs several plants, so the number of lines is larger.

US firm counts by industry code, banded deliberately.

Who signs off at each group

Inspection software is usually raised by the engineer who owns the station and the defects, and signed by the person who owns the plant's quality results and budget. Larger firms usually add a review by IT or plant systems before anything connects to the line.

Plants that already run cameras

Your site says the software works with the industrial cameras and factory systems a plant already has, and that it cuts false calls and second inspections against rule based vision systems.

That usually makes a plant with an existing camera station the easiest first conversation. The engineer who owns that station is the one who deals with the false calls, and the case they need is fewer manual rechecks without new hardware.

What the second reviewer asks

Your site says the platform runs in the cloud or on premises, connects to PLC, MES and ERP systems, and is SOC 2 compliant.

At a larger manufacturer those are usually the first questions from IT and plant systems once quality says yes, so they belong early in the conversation, before any pilot.

Where to start

Motor vehicle parts plants near Detroit

Your Detroit office sits close to many parts suppliers, and your site already describes their work in engine components, drivetrains, welds and assembly checks. A short note to quality directors that names one of those inspections reaches the person who answers for escapes to the automaker.

False calls at board and chip plants

Your site talks about cutting false calls from optical inspection machines and checking solder joints and missing parts. Test and yield engineers at board assembly and chip plants usually own that recheck queue, so opening on it speaks to a cost they already watch closely.

Label and seal checks on food and packaging lines

Your site lists label, print, seal and foreign object checks for food, beverage and packaging lines. QA managers there carry the risk of a wrong label or a bad seal leaving the plant, and one label or seal check is usually a smaller ask than a full line upgrade.

Built from public federal statistics and the company's own published pages, counts banded deliberately.
